Joy

Happiness is when your face smiles. Joy is when your soul smiles.

Seek the Light

When you're surrounded by darkness, cursing at it will not get you out. Only seeking the Light will.

Fact Friday: grace and peace

Grace and peace to you, blogosphere , from God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ,

Paul uses the greeting "Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ" in his epistles. Grace was a common greeting in Greek and peace was a common greeting in Hebrew. So by saying "grace and peace to you" Paul was saying "hi and hola," but he says more than that. He says "to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ." Meaning he intended it as a hope for the recipients of the letters and not just a salutation.

Verse Thursday: Psalm 71:14-16

My first "Verse Thursday"!

Psalm 71:14-16

"But I will hope continually, and will praise You yet more and more.
My mouth shall tell of Your righteous acts and of Your deeds of salvation all the day, for their number is more than I know.
I will come in the strength and with the mighty acts of the Lord God; I will mention and praise Your righteousness, even Yours alone."
Amplified Bible (AMP)

post everyday?

Hey blogosphere!

I'm back and I'm trying something new. I would like to try to post everyday with each day of the week having a theme. Most of them will be very short. Here's what I've come up with:

Study Sunday - Bible studies and devotionals, etc
hyMnonday - hymn lyrics, music, and history
Tunes Tuesday - modern music and videos
AWEdnesday - pictures and videos to remind us to be in awe of God (pronounced "Awe Wednesday")
Verse Thursday - God's Word
Fact Friday - Bible facts, history, etc.
Silly Saturday - comics from Reverend Fun and videos from Blimey Cow are some examples

What do you think? I'm not a professional blogger. I'm not even a good writer, but I will try to keep this going. Here we go!

Sincerely,
a modern nun
