Reuse

One day I was sitting, having lunch, and found myself staring at my lunch-sack. I've had it for a while now; I think I got it from a thrift store some time ago. It was one of those Subway kid's meal toys promoting recycling.

The following was my train-of-thought:
I realized that on the back it actually said "REUSE me" instead of what I assumed: "recycle me."
This triggered a memory of an old song from a 90's band with the chorus being "(God) use me!"
Then I started to hum the song using the word "reuse"... which got me thinking...

Isn't that how we should be servants of God? I've always asked God to use me, but I never really wanted Him to completely and wholly use me up. The truth is God can/will use us up entirely and then keep using us again and again and again. He REuses us. Once we think we've given every ounce... God wills us to do more.

He is the Potter. He knows the clay's breaking point. He is so much more than that, though. He is God ALMIGHTY; cracks in His masterpiece don't deter Him. Actually, He has proven time and time again that He can/will use the broken for His purpose. I guess I never really thought about that from this recycling perspective. This brings a whole new meaning to "giving 110%", doesn't it.

Glory, glory to the Great Recycler on high!
REuse me, God!
