Testing, testing 1-2-3...

Hey reader,

As I have been previously mentioning, I've gone back to the basics to grow more as a Christian. You have to start somewhere, and when you're in a slum it's been to re-trace your steps. So.. Step 1: Bible Memory Verses.
The three verses that I have stated in previous blog posts as my memory verses are safely tucked away in my brain now. Just to test myself... the following verses are typed from memory:

Philippians 4:8 KJV (or nkjv?)
"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."

1 Corinthians 1:18 Amplified
"For the story of the cross is shear absurdity and folly to those who are perishing and on their way to perdition, but to us who are being saved it is [the manifestation] of the power of God."

Joshua 1:9 KJV
"Have not I commanded thee,
be strong and of good courage,
be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed,
for the LORD thy God is with thee
whithersoever thou goest."

WOOHOO, I think... let me double check real quick.. one second... ... ... ok, so
Phil.4:8 is KJV and
1Cor.1:18 says "the story AND MESSAGE" and shear is actually spelled SHEER in this instance and the brackets include the word "of'" and
I might have messed up the punctuation in Josh.1:9...
but I think this still calls for a hearty WOOHOO!!!

This isn't the end. I'll still keep memorizing more. I just haven't decided on the next one.
I'm open for suggestions for new memory verses!!! I'd love to hear what scripture has made an impact on you! Leave a comment below! PLEASE AND THANK YOU!!!

And for my less-than-One-Year-Bible-challenge:
I'm at March 24's entry... still WAAAY behind, I'm tired of giving up on it. I'm going to keep trying.
Join me! Here's the One Year Bible website: http://oneyearbibleonline.com/
If you had trouble reading through the Bible in one year but succeeded, have any suggestions???
